Welcome to the East Village Wordsmiths!

Our theme for March - Longing to Belong by Eddie Vedder
on Tuesday, March 25th at 8pm

The East Village Wordsmiths is the brainchild of Leigh Anne O'Connor that seeks to bring back the creative and inclusive atmosphere of coffee house culture - providing a space for poets, story tellers, and musicians to share their original works.

Here’s how the salon works for submissions:

  • Submissions are to be made by the Friday prior to the salon date

  • Submissions must be for an original piece of 5 minutes or less and based on the month’s theme

  • Generally, the list is on a first come first submitted basis - provided that the piece is in line with the above criteria

  • Submissions can be sent as a PDF, Word, or Pages document - or simply in the body of an email and sent to: evwordsmiths@gmail.com

The East Village Wordsmiths Salon takes place at Book Club Bar located at: 197 E 3rd St, New York, NY 10009
